Battle of the Paddle O'Fallon MO YMCA

The O'Fallon YMCA Battle of the Paddle will be held at the O'Fallon, MO YMCA on Monday, August 29th and Tuesday, August 30th.  

Tournament will take place in the INDOOR gymnasium (basketball floor surface).

Fee is $40 per player for first event ($80 for a doubles team), $15 per player additional event. Deadline for registration is August 19th.  Play will be divided into 3 skill levels:

Novice:  2.5 or below

Low Intermediate:  3.0

High Intermediate:  3.5 and above

The following schedule is TENTATIVE and subject to change:

Men's and Women's Doubles -Monday, August 29th 9:00am-3:00pm

Women's Doubles- Start time TBD

Men's Doubles- Start time TBD

Mixed Doubles - Tuesday, August 30th 9:00am-3:00pm

Mixed Doubles- Start time TBD

Tournament Format:

Social Round Robin format. Teams will play each team in their group once in a game to 11 (win by 2, but capped at 13). Skill level groups with more than 7 teams will be split into age groupings based on each team's youngest player. Groups with less than 4 teams will be merged with other skill levels. Teams switch sides of the court during the game when one team reaches 6 points. 1 timeout per team per game is allowed.

Registration information:

Registration deadline is August 19th. 

Refunds may be processed minus service fees any time before August 19th.  After this date, there are no refunds on entry fees. In the event of a  postponement, participants will be refunded minus processing fees if they wish to withdraw after the new date is announced. 100% refunds will be given if the tournament is cancelled completely.
